Book Review by the_bookish_mind
Book: Return to Autumn
By Rusty Blackwood
Format: Kindle
My Ratings: 5/5
✏️The story is set in 1976. Four years have passed since Autumn Rose Leeves-Landon, now thirty years of age, unexpectedly lost her mother and best friend Abigail, on February 24,1972. It happened one month prior to the birth of Autumn’s first child, a daughter, whom she named Abby Rose Alice. She had wanted her daughter to carry her grandmother’s name along with her own, but she also wanted to honour her husband’s first wife of twenty-five years, a woman who had been well-respected, and one for whom Autumn came to admire greatly.
Four-year-old Abby, the apple of her father’s eye was a determined, energetic, intelligent blue-eyed girl, sporting blonde ringlets, and a smile that could melt the coldest heart.
The last four years had seen many changes at Landon Lawns Stables, as well as The Meadows in general. Autumn’s quest for much needed medical help in the area had been a hard-fought battle, met with obstacles and dead ends.
To know further, you must read this fabulous book.
✏️The whole story is amazing and has a perfect pace. The crisp, descriptive narrative and the engrossing style of writing keep the readers hooked till the end. Language used is lucid and clear.
✏️The characters are well developed in a very short-span of time. I loved all the characters of the story as all of them play an important role to build the whole plot.
✏️The cover page of the book is fascinating and it beautifully goes well with the theme of the book.
The title is perfect for the storyline.
✏️Overall, it was a wonderful reading experience for me and I just can't wait to read it's next part. I highly recommend this book to all my fellow readers.
