This captivating story is set around the Meadows of Kentucky in April 1976, the novel explores the complexities of relationships, the pursuit of justice, and the enduring bonds of friendship. The story starts with the glimpse of personal dramas of the characters with the ongoing quest for justice regarding Duff Taylor's suspicious past. As secrets are unearthed and tensions rise, the narrative maintains a steady pace, keeping readers engaged from start to finish.
