Review by Book Reviewer Genevieve Nwokonkwo
5 Stars
Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary by Rusty Blackwood is a captivating tale of forbidden love. When Joe Wychmere, his sister Emily, and his daughter CJ sorted through their grandmother's belongings after her passing, they stumbled upon a dusty, locked diary that revealed a shocking secret. The diary exposed Joy Wychmere's romantic connection with actor Cullen Malone, a love that blossomed in the City of Love, Paris. Joy's life was transformed when she met Cullen, the man she had loved for years, and they had to navigate their feelings amidst family obligations.
As I read, I was emotionally invested, feeling both sorrow and joy alongside the characters. Rusty Blackwood masterfully crafted the characters, especially Joy and Cullen, making their story feel like a true-life event. The book's length may seem daunting, but the narrative is engaging, with a perfect balance of suspense, forbidden love, family, and passion. A delightful aspect of the story was uncovering the significance of CJ's name, Christmas Joy, and its importance to Cullen and Joy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful romantic tale, and the incorporation of French phrases added to the story's romantic ambiance. Rusty's use of French phrases effectively transported me to the City of Love. I recommend this book to fans of romantic fiction, especially those who appreciate a touch of French culture.

Rusty didn’t just write a book, she wrote a whole soap opera set in a posh Kentucky community with enough drama to make daytime TV producers jealous. Return to Autumn: Part 2 wraps up a saga filled with secrets, lies, and betrayals so juicy, one would expect the horses at Landon Lawns to start gossiping.
From a farm girl in Ontario to rocking stages with The Midnight Ramblers and MIRAGE, Rusty's journey alone could be a bestselling story. And here she is, blending her love for literature, music, and a killer sense of suspense into a romantic fiction drama that’s award-winning, and rightly so.
Honestly, with jockeys carrying secrets darker than a midnight blues riff, and a stable on the brink of scandal, it's surprising the local gossips haven’t staged their own comeback tour. But here’s the real kicker, despite all this intensity, Rusty's storytelling holds a warm, authentic heart that hooks readers deeper than a country ballad’s chorus.

For me, writing is a pleasure, in fact, it is a passion, one that I truly enjoy 100%. Each new manuscipt is like stepping into the unknown; sometimes it feels like walking a tightrope over waiting spikes below, should I lose my footing, it would be game over. Yet with all its trials and tribulations, I love it. I also love it when I know it has entertained readers. After all, that is what a writer strives for; especially when a reader contacts them to say how much they enjoyed what they read.

Choosing one’s path in life can often be an overwhelming assortment of unanswered quandaries. When it hands you nothing but poverty, strife, with little chance of survival, the quandary seems impossible to resolve. For the deprived young Englishman, Cyril Landon, born into this stricken world of poverty just prior to WW1, the road in every aspect appeared hopeless.

The small village of South Wood Chester, Gloucestershire, England, offered little for its residents, and for young Cyril, the chance of success in any field appeared far removed from his grasp. But life underestimated this young man, for he was filled with determination, grit, and an endless drive to achieve much better than his station in life was offering, and he would not settle for less.

A labourer’s situation at a local farm outside his village provided a window into a possible future, one he had never given thought to, but through encouragement, plus a growing passion and respect for horses, an entire future was suddenly revealed. Young Cyril would willingly step through a door now opened, a door that would open many more, and he could not wait to see where they would lead. Little did he know at that time, just how far his choice would take him.

Delve into the pages of, Before the Grandeur: The Making of a Horsemaster, the edifying prequel to the thrilling Autumn Trilogy of books by Rusty Blackwood, certain to immerse you into the equestrian world of professional racing, concealed secrets, and an unfaltering love that will encase your heart.

Book Review📚📚

Book Name: The Perils of Autumn📚📚

Author Name: Rusty Blackwood @10_a5m2

Ratings: 10/10

📚The Perils of Autumn is a poignant and compelling romantic drama that immerses readers in a world of love, loss, and unexpected connections. Set primarily in the early 1970s, the novel follows Autumn Leeves, a resilient young woman whose life is shaped by the hardships of her unmarried mother and the tragic death of her father.

📚Autumn’s journey takes a transformative turn when she becomes the caregiver for Alice Landon, the ailing matriarch of the prestigious Landon Lawns Stables—a renowned thoroughbred racing estate owned by the formidable Cyril Landon. As she navigates the complexities of this new environment, Autumn matures both personally and professionally, eventually completing her nursing education.

📚Rusty Blackwood’s writing is evocative and immersive, blending heartfelt emotion with rich, vivid imagery. Through Autumn’s experiences, Blackwood explores the multifaceted nature of love—between mother and daughter, between friends, and in the unexpected spark of romantic connection.

📚The novel skillfully weaves these themes into a layered narrative that speaks to the challenges of personal growth, the weight of hidden truths, and the redemptive power of human connection. The Perils of Autumn is a moving and deeply human story that lingers with readers long after the final page.
